Biography

Sze Mei Ting

Born in Hong kong. Currently lives and works in UK.

Mei is ceramicist and designer. She is doing an artist residency at the University of Reading. She received her BA in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Later, she graduated her master degree of Fine Arts at University of Reading. Despite short period of time, she has exhibited in various countries like UK, Netherlands, Japan, Macau and HK etc…

As an energetic and young artist, Mei aims to reconstruct another reality, one that challenges our current perception of reality by her works. As an ceramicist, she believes in the magic, beauty and potential of clay which can tan from her intention to realization. Since 2015, she has been involved in a series of ceramics’s installation that attempts to construct an illusion to counteract the reality.

2011    Graduated with the Degree of Bachelor of Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Major in Fine Arts

2008   Graduated with the Associate Degree of 3D Product Design from The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s CUTW
